Adsense Referral Tracking Issue, Adsense Referral discussion

Adsense Referral Tracking Issue
Adsense Referral discussions

I have recently had some referral tracking issues with my “Adwords referrals” program at Google. I was seeing “conversions” but was not being paid. I could not resolve it with the support. They gave some weired reasons and I could not argue.

But today, Randy (from grownupgeek.com), who is one of the biggest firefox referral publisher, made a post about firefox referral tracking issues which he is seeing in his reports. He says that somebody from Google confirmed it that there is some bug, which is being addressed.

So does it mean that all the money which was not tracked will be lost? Or, will publishers will be compensated? I think surely not. Google will not even talk about it, I am not sure how somebody from Google even confirmed it to a publisher that it is a bug.

Are you using Adsense Referrals? Did any of you see any such problem?

Google Adsense Smart Pricing. How to Comeout from the Adsense Smart Pricing

Google Adsense Smart Pricing
How to Comeout from the Adsense Smart Pricing ?

Last days, I was a little bit angry about Google Adsense pricing for my website Fluctuation! From $0.01 and less to $2 and more the click. I cannot control what ads appear on my website and I cannot know high paying and low paying ads. In the overall, this is always meant to be the same, however if all clicks went over one buck, I'll turn to a millionaire :p!

The following picture shows a click from one day... The price is high enough
But the previous day wasn't good at all :(
This fluctuation is quite high, if price go from 0.5 to 2 this will be acceptable, however having 0.1 for 3 clicks means that something is not working well.

On average I receive each day from 8 to 12 clicks and this always end with $1, but sometimes rises to $15 and other times fall to $0.3
Although my website is well optimized and %90 of my traffic is from USA and Europe, there's something eating my pay per click.

I searched on the Internet for many articles and found that reasons can be:
  • Smart Pricing : Because I use my Adsense account on multiple websites, Adsense will Smart Price my click, which means I'll get low revenue per click.
  • Pay Per Impression Ads : Pay Per Impression ads, won't pay much (or pay at all) if the user clicks. Something I notice well, when I get paid for impressions!
What ever the reason webmaster thinks will reduce your Cost Per Click, I discovered another important factor and also concluded that Google Smart Pricing won't exist if all your websites are 'OK'.

What does this really mean?
Ok, I have gone through a little experiment, composed on many parts, I tried first to block all my websites and allow only the barcode one. This really gave me no results, nothing changed at all.
Ads still runing on other websites although I blocked Adsense from them, but I don't see any impression on my Dashboard.

I wasn't Smart Priced then, but there's another thing that had happened.
I unlocked the access to Adsense and tried another thing
  • Creating another page on the same website
  • Linking to this page and having much backlinks
  • Optimizing the page for search engine and waiting...
I waited a few weeks, until Google ranked well the page (Page Rank 3), after that I removed all links linking to it and tried to filter its' traffic to Google only traffic.

The Google traffic was low, and I got only 4 clicks during my experiment, which value was comparably high to the average (about $0.8 per click).

This means that Google traffic is the best one, however I noticed that it's not only Google traffic.
Google have a smart algorithm that tries to identify the user, this will check if:
  • The user is really interested on the website.
  • The user is searching to buy, sell or doing something.
  • The Ads are well-converting with the user.
What ever your traffic is from, Google will try to identify if the user will convert well when it clicks the ad.
This idea was inspired from an article I read months ago on a Seo blog.

How the Google Adsense Algorithms works?
I think users driven from Search Engines are the best converting. Thus, those ones coming from social websites will be the worst!
Users coming from a link keyworded with the rights keywords will convert well also. Like users coming from Feedburner and other.

How to optimize your website to the best?
For this, you have to work on Google traffic and not on social media traffic. You have also to work on getting valuable backlinks from sites ranking high on Google, or from giants websites, like Download Engines, Wikis...

Before you apply to AdSense,Easy way to Create a Adsense Account

Thing you should know, Before you apply to AdSense
One easy way to Create a Adsense Account

Getting started with AdSense is easy
, but when reviewing the applications we get, we've noticed a few common pitfalls. To help make sure your application is approved the first time around, ask yourself the following questions below before submitting.

Do I have what I need to apply?
  • Website: To display Google ads, you need administrative access to the site you submit for AdSense in order to place our JavaScript ad code on your site. Adding the Google code to your site's source code will enable you to show ads, search boxes, and referral units on your pages.

If you don't have a website of your own, that doesn't mean you can't participate in AdSense. AdSense offers a couple of options to help you easily create your own site.

First, there's Blogger, a free tool for setting up and publishing your own blog online. With its easy-to-use and customizable templates, you can create an account and start blogging right away. You can also set up AdSense ads easily through your Blogger account.

If you prefer more flexibility and control, then our web page tool, Page Creator, may be more suitable. Signing up for a Page Creator account is free as well -- all you need is a Gmail account. The best part is that you don't have to download any software or hire a designer. Once you've created your Page Creator site, you can begin displaying Google ads in minutes.

  • Valid payee name: AdSense Payments will be made out to the name on your account, so make sure to include your full and valid name, or that of your business, rather than just initials. If banks won't accept the name you enter in the 'Payee Name' field, neither will we.

  • Valid address: We want to make sure your hard-earned money reaches you, so please also provide a complete valid address where you can receive mail. If you live in a country or territory that doesn't have a standard format for addresses, please be sure that your application includes as much information as a mailman would need to find your residence.
Does my website meet all the necessary requirements?
  • Valid URL: If you manage an entire website, give us the URL of your home page. If you manage a blog or other account within a larger website, you should provide the URL of the specific page that you manage and not the URL of the entire hosting website. Don't forget to double check your URL for typos!

  • Fully launched website: Since we won't be able to review websites that are not fully launched or built, please ensure that your site is live and functioning at the time you submit your application.

  • Unique content: We want visitors to sites in the AdSense network to have a good experience, so please publish content that's interesting and unique. Avoid using "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other cookie cutter approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content. If you're participating in an affiliate program, give people a reason to visit your site first.

  • Supported language: We're constantly working to provide targeted, relevant ads in more languages. However, until then, we can only approve your application if the majority of your website is in one of our supported languages.

  • Pay-To Sites: If your site participates in programs that compensate people to perform activities that drive traffic to you, we can't approve your application. Some examples of these "pay-to" programs are sites that encourage users "to click" or "to surf" or "to read email." In addition, you shouldn't encourage others to join these programs in the content, links, or third-party ads on your site.
We also encourage you to read our program policies in detail for further insight on how to create a successful application. Now that you have all the necessary information, now's a good time to apply.

How To Move Blogger Blog between two Accounts ?

You might be wondering how do you change the ownership of your Blogger blog?

One of my Friend who uses a Blogger account asked me if he could move his Blogger Account from one Account to another Account. After a little bit of work it is possible for Blogger with a Blogspot account to Transfer his Blog from One account to Another account.

The short answer is that you can do this by making the blog in question a team blog, with two members, then removing the original team member.

In detail, the process goes like this for Changing your blogger blog between two accounts:

  1. Sign in to Blogger with Account 1, which we'll assume is the account containing the blog.
  2. Go to the Settings | Permissions tab.
  3. Click the Add Authors button and send an invitation to the owner of Account 2, the account to which you'd like to move the blog.
  4. Wait for the owner of Account 2 to accept the invitation. If you're sharing a computer, you'll need to sign out of Account 1 first, or each use a different browser.
  5. Once Account 2 has joined the blog, Account 1 can log in again and go back to the Settings | Permissions tab.
  6. Click the grand admin privileges link next to Account 2.
  7. Click the remove link next to Account 1.

Notes:

  • You'll still see any posts made on the blog by Account 1 with Account 1's display name. Account 2 can delete and repost these posts if they'd like to change the display name.
  • Account 1 cannot be removed until Account 2 has admin rights, since every blog must have at least one admin member at all times.
Remove the old Blogger Account from the Admin access and the Blog is now Transferred to a New account . I would be interested if this Method Works for other Bloggers. Post your Reviews and Comments!!!.

click Through Rate (CTR) is one of the three parameters that make up the AdSense basic revenue formula. Thus increasing it can have a dramatic impact on your AdSense income

Other thing is that put the big Adsense banner ads and avoide to use the Adsense Link units.

AdSense sponsored links are successful today because they managed to come up with an innovative way of advertising through link like ads. This success is mainly measured, though not exclusively, by a high CTR ranging from 0.5% to 20% in some cases, the average being around 3 %. Now it is up to you to take advantage of this high optimisation potential.

We have listed three main ways to improve a website's AdSense click Through Rate (CTR):
